Drupalcamp Florida 2018
February 16 - February 18
As we’re flying down to beautiful Orlando to enjoy some warm weather and great company at Florida Drupalcamp, Kevin and I were reflecting on how excited we are as a company to ramp up our efforts to support the Drupal community. In fact, a key part of DRUD Tech’s vision is to enable individuals, teams, and communities to adopt modern tools and workflows so that we can all adapt and succeed to the ever-changing technology landscape.
DDEV is one of our projects that allows us to achieve that vision. Having spent many years in the trenches supporting multiple CMSs, developer skill levels, departments, team cultures, etc, we’ve seen and recognized the value of making these solutions consistent, reliable, and approachable. In the last 6-months, we’ve been seeking and receiving external validation that these are common challenges and opportunities. This is what excites us because we know what it’s like to see and experience massive transformation when these tools and practices are introduced.
Florida Drupalcamp is a great camp to kick off this tour because the organizers of this camp have consistently attracted a respectable audience size that includes several big influencers. We hope that this first of many camp appearances adds value to the community. More importantly, we’re here to listen to see when and where we can help and add said value.
To that end…
How Can We Help?
If you’re attending Florida Drupalcamp…
Docker is powerful and yet daunting for many developers. We built DDEV with this in mind because we want everyone to reap the benefits of using container-based tools and workflows without feeling like they are approaching another Drupal Learning Cliff (TM). To that end, we would to set up a 1:1 DDEV onboarding session with you. We’ll work with you to get your first site up and running and we’ll even compensate you with a $25 egift card from Amazon for your time and feedback.
If you’re not attending Florida Drupalcamp…
There are many ways to reach out to us. We’re active #ddev in the Drupal community Slack and our GitHub issue queues. We’re also more than happy to set up a video call where we can demo DDEV and even work with you 1:1 to your first project up and running.
If you’re a Drupal camp or event organizer…
Please reach out to us with sponsorship opportunities! Additionally, we would love to provide support for code sprint initiatives. There are several ways that we can make this happen and we’re happy to discuss this with you to see how we can help.
